That is my story and I am sticking to it. Seriously I have lost a day this week. I was thinking I had one more day before the Sunday School Christmas party Friday night. Well SURPRISE today is Friday and I didn't make it to the grocery store to get the items I did not have on hand...like cucumbers and more cream cheese. Cucumbers don't last long in my house one - two days max.
So at 6:00 this morning when hubby walked out the door to go to work after reminding me to be ready when he got home I went into panic mode...oh dear oh dear what ever will I fix. Being in a new area and having never been to a church social I have no idea what these people like to eat.
So I started digging to see what I had and went online to Kraft recipes and found a cheese ball recipe. I didn't have enough cream cheese for a whole recipe so I am making a small snowman cheese ball (http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/snowman-cheese-ball-64889.aspx) I don't know if people like cheese balls hey but what is a Christmas party without a cheese ball LOL.
Then I found chicken breast in the freezer. My guys love my homemade chicken nuggets and they are easy peasy. I dice up the chicken in to bite size pieces and put in a zip lock bag then I add about a 1/4 cup of honey mustard and seal the bag. Mush the nuggets around until they are coated and place in the refrigerator for an hour or so. Then I roll them in bread crumbs and bake on a foil lined cookie sheet at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. See like I said easy peasy.
Now with the cookies I have made I am all set. YAY me, now all I need to do is shower and be ready to go when hubby gets home.
