Wow I just realized today was Tuesday, January 05, 2010 and I had not posted since New Year’s Eve. We are in the proverbial deep freeze here in the south. The night time temperatures have been down in the teens and only the mid 30’s during the day. The wind chill has keep the temps feeling more like the 20’s though. Everything is frozen and probably will be that way for the rest of the week. BBBRRRRR what a cold way to start to start 2010. Yikes 2010 that looks funny…I remember seeing cartoons when I was a kid that had us riding in flying cars by the year 2000. Boy I am glad that hasn’t happen, people have a hard enough time driving cars on the road can you imagine what it would be like if we all had flying cars? I think I would opt to keep the one that rolls on the ground, I don’t like flying.
I know I am rambling so back to the point of this post…HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you and your family rang in the New Year safely. I am not sure if 2010 has an optimistic out look or a gloomy out look. The unemployment rate is off the charts, housing sales dropped 16 percent. Oh and GMAC is getting another 3 billon dollar bailout. The health reform bill passed so socialist health care is just around the corner whether we like it or not. All the while my health insurance at work is getting worse and worse…I won’t bore you with the details all I will say is OUCH!
I am not one to make New Year resolutions so when I was on face book and everyone was posting their resolutions I said that I resolved to be nice to one person this year. They all laughed and said that wasn’t a resolution and they all knew I would be nice to more than one person so I had to come up with something else. I cheated…I stole my friend Teresa’s resolutions (she said I could)… so I resolve to live a half of year…I am going to get rid of half our junk, I am going to pay off half our debt and I am going to spend half of what I did last year on “stuff” and if I have time I will loose a half of a pound. I like that thanks Teresa.
I promise tomorrow’s post will be better. I am making homemade bread tonight so look for pictures tomorrow. Tomorrow nights dinner is chicken chili so I will have pictures and will post the recipe.
