1 pound ground beef – browned and drained
1 bag of egg noodles cooked and drained
2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese - divided
2 teaspoons of parsley
2 teaspoons of oregano
2 teaspoons of basil
5-6 cloves of garlic diced
1 onion diced
1 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
1 9x13 casserole dish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to directions on package. Brown ground beef and drain return to pan add onion and garlic and brown. Stir in seasonings (if you have Italian seasoning you can use 2 tablespoons instead of the 2 teaspoons of each of the above seasonings. I just didn’t have any Italian seasoning on hand) Add crushed tomatoes, noodles and 1 cup of cheese, mix well. Spread beef and noodle mixture in 9x13 pan and top with remaining cup of cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly browned.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cook noodles according to directions on package.

Brown ground beef, and drain. I go one step further with my ground beef I rinse it with hot water after I drain it just to remove as much grease as possible.

Dice onion

Add to ground beef

I didn't have any real fresh garlic so I used a couple of extra. Normally I would only use 4 cloves of garlic if it was fresh.

Dice or mince the garlic.

Add to pan with ground beef and onion.

Ok you can call me a tightwad but I refuse to pay $1.35 for a can of crushed tomatoes when I can get diced tomatoes 2 for $1 and crush them myself.

I love my mini food processor. It was the best $10 I spent in a very long time. Actually this one is about worn out I really need a new one. Maybe Santa will bring me a new one next year if I am a good girl LOL

I always use a big mixing bowl to mix everything in because my pan is never big enough and if I just pour it all in the 9x13 pan I don't get it all mixed very well.

Now add ground beef, onions and garlic

Add drained noodles.

Add 2 teaspoons of parsley, oregano, and basil. If you have Italian seasoning you can just add 2 tablespoons of it instead using the parsley, oregano and basil. As you see I had to use the store bought spices. We have been below freezing here at night and my spice tub got left out side so now I have no fresh spices. I am so disappointed.

Add 1 cup of cheese. We like cheese so I tend to add more.

Pour in your 9x13 pan and top with remaining cup of cheese. Like I said we like a lot of cheese so I tend to use more.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

And then quickly take pictures because they have already grab plates and flatware. Yes I had to fight the guys off in order to get this picture. Nick was complaining the whole..."what is with all the pictures of food?" You would think I never feed them.
